The Westy guide to honest banking
A design system is a promise: every screen speaks with the same voice, from onboarding to statements.
The voice of the product
Headings are set in GT Alpina Condensed at its single medium cut. Body copy stays in Greed Standard, tuned for interface sizes and long-form reading alike. When something needs emphasis inside a paragraph, reach for font-medium — not a bigger size.
“Typography is the interface. If the words are hard to read, nothing else matters.”
Three rules of rhythm
- Size, leading and flow move together — change one, check all three.
- Secondary text drops to the muted foreground token, never to a lighter weight.
- Numbers that align vertically always use tabular figures.
Numbers in context
Financial products live and die by their tables. Amounts are right-aligned, set in tabular figures, and never wrap.
| Statement | Date | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Coffee & Co. | Aug 4, 2026 | $4.50 |
| Monthly rent | Aug 1, 2026 | $2,405.31 |
| Salary | Jul 30, 2026 | $8,000.00 |
Small print closes the page quietly — muted color, small size, regular weight.
